Deb AlcadinhoCEO and Founder Westshore Women’s Business Network
Westshore Women’s Business Network (WWBN) was founded by Deb Alcadinho. She is the owner of Your Brand Power and is a Business Advisor to entrepreneurs and small business owners. She is an educator, leader, speaker, mentor, entrepreneurial business owner, wife and mom to 3 boys.
After more than a decade in the media industry, Deb established herself as an award winning branding specialist promoting the brands of her clients and helping them to stand out in unique ways to increase their brand recognition and revenues.
Deb naturally sought out opportunities to connect her business clients to one another. She identified a common need: her female clients were seeking ways to make connections, learn new skills, be inspired, grow their businesses and succeed together as a community. Working with such a large group of female entrepreneurs and business owners enabled her to see that many women were not familiar or even uncomfortable with, marketing themselves and networking in general.
Deb founded Westshore Women’s Business Network, in Victoria BC Canada in 2010 – a networking organization for business and professional women. The organization provides a platform to network professionally in a fun, supportive and relaxed setting. Business training and development are offered through WWBN’s educational platform by trainers, educators, thought leaders and business owners. WWBN provides business women inspiration, connections and tools for success.
Deb’s success as a business woman was influenced by hard working, social and entrepreneurial parents. She grew up learning the values of honesty, integrity, social connections and business ownership. Her great-grandfather and grandfather were founding members of Abbotsford, the community she was to later start her first job in, at age 13. She came to understand, at an early age, how each aspect of business works in synchronicity. Traveling for 1 ½ years throughout England and Europe shaped her passion for life, business, travel and certainly gave her a broad spectrum of the world. From an early age, Deb was an entrepreneur owning several small businesses before age 25. As a mother of three boys at 35, Deb owned two manufacturing businesses and worked full time, until she made the leap to full time entrepreneurial business ownership in 2013.
Always driven to be successful, her mandate to mentor and help others to reach success is paramount in every aspect of Deb’s business and personal life.
In 2013, Deb was nominated for the Unlimited Woman of Mentorship and Leadership award. Deb is an active member of the Soroptimist International, Victoria Westshore chapter – A global volunteer organization working to improve the lives of women and girls through programs leading to social and economic empowerment. Deb is also a mentor with the UVIC Gustavson School of Business where she mentors students who will shape the world.
Deb is pleased to be a member of eWomen and the WestShore Chamber of Commerce.
